These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Internet Ready News mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Internet Ready News is a digital news platform covering breaking news, UK news, world news, social media, entertainment and sports. The Service provides articles, videos, and related content for informational and editorial purposes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
  • You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • One person may register one account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Post comments that are defamatory, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, or that infringe another person's privacy or rights.
  • Submit false, misleading, or knowingly inaccurate news stories.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems, or another user's data.

  • Reproduce, redistribute, or resell content from the Service without permission, except for brief quotations with attribution as permitted by fair dealing.

5. User-submitted content

If you submit a news story, comment, or other content, you grant Internet Ready News a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, and display that content across our app, website, social media channels, and partner platforms. You confirm that you own the content or have permission to submit it, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to review, edit, decline, or remove any submission without explanation. Submission of a story does not guarantee publication.

6. Editorial content

All articles, videos, and editorial content published on the Service reflect the editorial judgement of Internet Ready News. We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that content is always complete, current, or error-free. Opinions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Internet Ready News.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, logos, articles, videos, and software, is owned by Internet Ready News or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

8. Third-party links and content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and embedded content (such as YouTube videos) that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. You access them at your own risk.

9. Donations

The Service may accept voluntary donations (one-off or monthly). Donations are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Stripe Billing Portal accessible from your profile. We are not a charity unless otherwise stated; donations support the ongoing operation of the Service.

10. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements. Advertisements are clearly labelled and do not constitute endorsements by Internet Ready News. We are not responsible for the products or services advertised.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate, reliable, or correct.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Internet Ready News shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

13. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to the Service or other users, or for any other reason we consider appropriate. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app self-service feature.

14. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
